Slim Swag - 5927 / $25.00
The three swag patterns as shown will finish approximately:
20" wide and 24" long (short)
22" wide and 36" long (medium)
24" wide and 48" long (long)
A single Slim Swag installed over narrow side panels adds an elegant and stylish touch to a window treatment.
Several Slim Swags of different lengths placed beside each other creates a dramatic and elegant look.
To prevent seams in swags, use fabric that is 102" wide or wider.
Swag treatments will work best with soft flexible fabric. The softer the fabric, the smoother the folds will be. The best look can be achieved by using fabric such as batiste, soft cottons, silk or satin.
Lining is required, and should also be a soft fabric. Many sheers or light weight fabrics look best when they are self lined.
For a solid 102" wide fabric, the yardage needed is:
1¾ yards per small swag
2 yards per medium swag
2¼ yards per large swag
If fabric has a pattern repeat, allow extra fabric.
This is more than enough fabric for each swag. You will have some waste.
(FOR LARGE SWAG ONLY). If 54" wide fabric is used, cut two widths of fabric, 2¼ yards long. Sew the widths together. If fabric has a pattern repeat, cut and sew on repeat.
IF USING 54" WIDE FABRIC
1½ yards per small small swag
3½ yards per medium swag
4½ yards per large swag
